우리 회사가 사옥을 짓는대요.

B: Our own building? That’s news to me.

사옥이요? 전 금시초문인데요.

A: You know we’ve got more staff now, so the office is becoming too small.

직원이 늘어나 사무실이 비좁잖아요.

B: So last week, the board of directors voted to construct a new building.

그래서 지난주 이사회에서 새로 사옥을 짓기로 결정했대요.

비슷한 표현으로는 That’s the first time I heard that., I didn’t hear anything about that., I’ve never heard that before 등으로 ‘처음 듣다, 금시초문이다’라는 의미로 쓸 수 있다.
