‘편하게’라는 우리말을 영어로 옮길 때 conveniently나 comfortably 같은 부사를 대응시키기 곤란한 경우가 있다. 주로 동작을 결부시켜 말할 때인데, 이때는 Feel free to∼를 쓸 수 있다. ‘편하게/마음대로 ∼하라’는 뜻으로 Feel free to ask questions(편하게 질문 하세요)처럼 상대방에게 호의로 어떤 행동을 권하거나 허락할 때 활용하면 좋은 표현이다.
