도로에 오가는 차들(cars on the road)을 합쳐서 traffic(교통)이라고 한다. 그러므로 traffic은 집합명사가 되어서 앞에 부정관사 a(n)가 붙지도 않고, 많음을 강조할 때는 형용사 much를 사용해야 한다.
