A:Tomorrow is my day-off. 내일 저 휴가예요.

B:What are you planning to do? 뭐 할 거예요?

A:I’m going to an outdoor swimming pool but it will be drizzling.

야외수영장에 가려고 했는데 가랑비가 내린대요.

B:Then what is your Plan B? 그럼 다음 대안은 뭐예요?

A:I don’t have one. Maybe just go and enjoy the rain.

없어요. 그냥 가서 비를 좀 즐기죠 뭐.

‘Plan B’는 원래의 계획(plan A)이 실패했을 경우를 대비해 실행할 두 번째 계획이라는 뜻으로, ‘대안’이라는 뜻으로도 사용할 수 있다. 유의어로 ‘the second string’ 또는 ‘the best alternative plan’ 등이 있다.
