눈이 높다는 말은 ‘너무 큰 걸 기대한다(expect too much)’라는 뜻이므로 여기서 ‘눈’은 eye가 아니라 expectation의 뜻이다. 그래서 “You have high expectations.”라고 하면 된다. 이 ‘눈’은 ‘취향’으로 해석될 수도 있는데 “You have high taste.(취향이 참 고상하다.)”라고 말할 수 있다. 속뜻은 “You’re too picky/choosy.(정말 까다롭군.)”이다.
